Hope everyone is holding up alright out there! I’ll try to cover the highlights in this before I head to bed:FurTheMore 2024: For me it was fairly calm and chill as the only con related thing I went to was the marketplace/dealers den. The panels I saw weren’t of interest to me this time around, and I only saw a few of the local furs from the groups I used to be a part of. Catching up with their lives and enjoyed that! Enjoyed a few drinks, smoked a nice cigar one night, and was a good mini vacation to refresh and recharge.Health: This has had some good advances, FINALLY. Saw my diabetic specialist, the one I started ot see just short of a year ago who recommended me to use the Constant Glucose Meter (CGM) and an insulin pump to better manage my diabetes, as the way I’ve been using over over 20 years is archaic and not cutting it anymore. All of last year I just could not get the issue resolved on why these two things were not getting covered by my insurance when they said it was supposed to be… THIS time, I had the prescription card info I never received last year, and that seemed to fix the issue.Which means, insurance will now cover my Dexcom G6 CGM I’ve been paying out of pocket for (and using a coupon) to help give me heads up when sugars are high or getting low. AND I can get them to cover the pump. I have the training appointment on the 24th, before I can have a pump pod thing and actually use it. I also see my new PCP on the 21st which I am amped for. FINALLY. Now I can turn this crappy stuff around and have a good year going forward for a long time health wise.Work: so far so good. As of the 1st week of march, a lot of people got moved around to different shifts and days they work. Not a lot work M-F now, I’m being one of the few that still is on 2nd shift. Just doing my best to make it there every day I’m to work and do what I can to fix the things they need me to do, and leave work issues at work.Art: I haven't posted a lot of art lately, and its because I’ve been either working a lot or just had more stuff I had/wanted to focus on. Also because of the new diabetic stuff I will have to pay for, that is going to affect my budget a fair bit… Meaning I HAVE to cut back on how many commissions I get. That is going to SUCK, but having my health in much better manageable shape is far more important. We will see how I can handle the withdrawal haha.Cats: after having the tall cat tree condo thing made and them getting used to it over the past few weeks, they have stopped forcing their way into the raised ceiling space, so I am keeping them. I gave a link in the previous life journal on where ill keep pics and videos of them.. I need to upload to there, oops…Take care, and thanks for reading this far!Posted using PostyBirb
